Identity Theft

Please view crime prevention identity theft to understand what identity theft is, how it happens, and ways to prevent someone stealing your identity.

Oregon Department of Justice
The Oregon Department of Justice offers information to the public regarding different scam alerts and legal resources.

Last year, Oregonians reported sending more than $300,000 - most often, by wire transfer - to scammers pretending to be a relative in trouble in a foreign country. Their story usually follows a familiar line: They were traveling overseas with a friend, and were in some legal trouble, got arrested, and need money to be bailed out of jail. DON'T BE A VICTIM.

School Resource Officer

The police department and the school district understand the value of a School Resource Officer for all public schools in Eagle Point. The School Resource Officer (SRO) is a fully sworn police officer deployed in community-oriented policing to work in collaboration with the school and community-based organizations to address crime and disorder; gang and drug activities occurring or affecting in or around grade, middle and high schools; educate likely school-aged victims in crime prevention and safety; train students in conflict resolution and restorative justice and crime-awareness, and much more.

Neighborhood Watch
The Neighborhood Watch program is a police-community driven concept where neighborhood citizens are taught the basic crime prevention tools to make neighborhoods less attractive to criminals. For more information on starting your own neighborhood watch program start Here. This is where you can view current neighborhood watch newsletters.
