Prescription Drug Drop Box Information

Take Back Network
In November of 2011, the Eagle Point Police Department unveiled a permanent prescription drug drop box in the lobby of the police department at 17 S. Buchanan Ave. You can drop off your medications between the hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

The following items are accepted: prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, vitamins, medication samples and medication for pets.

The following items are NOT accepted: Needles (sharps), thermometers, bloody or infectious waste, medications from businesses/clinics/pharmacies/hospitals, hydrogen peroxide, aerosol cans and inhalers.
The idea behind this project is to get unused and expired prescriptions/medications out of the medicine cabinet in hopes of reducing the risk of abuse/theft, in addition to keeping medications out of our water and waste treatment systems.

Visit The Drug Take Back Network for additional information and box locations.

Master Recycle Program

Master Recycler Master Recyclers are waste prevention ambassadors who work within their communities to cultivate public awareness by supporting a wide variety of projects and programs across Jackson County. They share their knowledge and motivate others to make resource conservation a way of life.

Each Spring,  a 10-week training course teaches residents and business and government representatives on topics of recycling, waste prevention, composting, local solid waste infrastructure, e-waste, hazardous waste and much more. The course includes an extensive training manual, presentations from regional experts, field trips and volunteer training.
