The Budget Process

The Eagle Point Budget is an annual process that begins in early February of each year and is approved by the City Council in June. Eagle Point operates on a fiscal year program beginning July 1 through June 30 of the next year.


The development of the annual budget is the responsibility of the City Administrator and the Finance Director working with city staff to develop a proposed budget document. The budget begins formal review by a Budget Committee in May of each year. The Budget Committee includes the City Council and seven additional members of the community.

A budget review is conducted by the Budget Committee with final recommendations to the City Council during a public hearing in June.
