Payments

Payments can be made in person at City Hall, or you may drop payments off in the after-hours utility drop box, online, or by mail. Click HERE for more information regarding payment options.


Meetings

Court is held on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm and on the third Thursday of each month at 9:00 am at Eagle Point City Hall, Council Chambers. 


Jurisdiction

The Eagle Point Municipal Court is served by Judge John Blackhurst and Court Clerk Devon Linebaugh and is a court of limited jurisdiction. It has jurisdiction to hear and determine cases regarding offenses arising under the municipal code for the city, as well as motor vehicle and traffic violations.


Traffic Infractions

Cases appearing in Eagle Point Municipal Court are usually traffic infractions or city ordinance violations. An infraction is a violation of or failure to comply with certain provisions of the Motor Vehicle Code, local ordinance, or other law or statute. The punishment of an infraction is a fine. You may not be sentenced to alternate jail time on an infraction and you cannot have a trial by jury. For additional questions relating to infractions, please visit frequently asked questions


Traffic School

At the discretion of the Judge you may be permitted to complete a traffic safety education course to avoid your citation from being reported to the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV). If you have been allowed this opportunity you will be required to pay the amount of your citation in full within 24 hours of your court date.  You will also be required to complete the online course within 90 days of your court date. The options for traffic school are U Turn 180, National Traffic Safety Institute or Jackson County Traffic School
